About Us

THE STORY OF MONDAY'S CHILD

Monday’s Child is designed for little girls to feel like little princesses on their special day while satisfying the discerning tastes of their parents. Garments that are both whimsical and practical are designed and made by hand in our London studio and delivered to your door in our bespoke Little Pink House gift boxes. Monday’s Child ultimately believes in the longevity of its timeless pieces by passing them on to little sisters and next generations as a result of the high quality of the garments, and use of natural fabrics. Nostalgia and tradition are at our core; with a mixture of fresh design and modern creativity to ensure that your daughter will become the envy of all on her special day.

INTRODUCING MIRANDA STANFORD

With her formative years of design in London and New York, founder of Monday’s Child Miranda Stanford channels her feminine approach to clothing and fashion in a fresh perspective that is sure to capture the hearts of children and parents alike.

Inspired by her love of family and nostalgia, Miranda utilises her creativity and attention to detail to create charming looks based on daydreams of what she had always wanted to wear as a child.

“I have always loved designing and making clothes for children. Something about creating beautiful garments in tiny form is so magical, and you hope as a designer that when a little girl wears one of your dresses they will feel as special as they look. When you are young you are told to dream big and reach for the stars. I have this credo in my mind when designing all my collections, and my dresses are ultimately a reflection of the joys of childhood.”

OUR FABRICS AND TRIMS

Honesty, sustainability and quality are at our core, and we ensure that every dress produced is made by hand using the highest quality fabrics in our London studio. All of our dresses are made from the finest natural materials all sourced within England. As a leader in sustainable fashion, we aim to make our environmental footprint as low as possible by sourcing and manufacturing all our garments within England.

Cotton

Our cotton is 100% natural, not only for environmental reasons but also because of the practical implications for active children with delicate skin. We source our cotton to create a breathable soft cloth that is then worn by our customers’ children.

Linings All of our dresses are lined with 100% cotton cloth, making them extremely comfortable and breathable next to the skin.

Sash ribbons

We are proud to use VV Rouleaux ribbons for all of our dress sashes. We find the quality and colour options unmatched! With 25 different colours and 2 ribbon types to choose from, you are sure to find your perfect shade and style. If you are looking for a colour you can’t see, just email us at info@mondayschildlondon.com and we will try and accomodate your request.

VV Rouleaux has won countless awards, supplies major fashion houses, and regularly features in leading publications including Vogue, Brides, and World Of Interiors.

THE LITTLE PINK HOUSE PACKAGING

We quite like trees here, so our packaging is made out of recycled cardboard to make our whole process from design concept through to delivery environmentally friendly! Our mailer boxes are not only made from recycled materials but are also able to be recycled into a dolls house for your child! The Little Pink House is the perfect accompaniment to our dresses which come beautifully tissue wrapped inside.

Simply follow the instructions inside the box to cut around the various windows and front door and your little one will have hours of imaginative play with their very own Little Pink House.
